Response to Design Revolution Road Show
It was really cool to see the van with all of the objects they had designed. I enjoyed going hearing them talk even more though. Hearing them explain their ideas and their reasons for creating these sustainable designs that are really helping those that need help made me appreciate everything in their van even more. I really like how they are taking what they've learned and have experienced and are using it to actually help people. I think it was also great how they are not just concerned with people in America but also people from developing parts of the world. One of the things they mentioned that interested me was the architecture habitat program, I would definitely be interested and learning more about they and maybe trying to become part of it later in life.

Group 9's Ideas for the Red House
Have a promotional event at the half time of a boys basketball game, because so many people would see eat, especially not art students who would have a harder time finding out about it.
Have a limo that brings students form shine to the Red House on nights of events or even just weekends. The art store did this and it seemed to be very successful.
Make Design Odyssey students go as a homework assignment and take pictures of things that inspire us there.
Have a Red House event on campus so that students will get first introduced to it without leaving campus and then if they like it they will likely go on their own time to visit it. They could call it a "kick off" event and maybe have it in the quad before a big game when a lot of people are around.
If there was a subway system in Syracuse that might be more effective for getting people around and to the Red House. (We know its a stretch)
Have a one night big event at all of the art galleries, make it like a pub craw but for art galleries, they travel in groups to them throughout he day.
Have a red painted carpet or path from the warehouse to the Red House, kind of like Boston's freedom trail leading people around important parts of the city. This will make it super easy for students already at the warehouse to find it too.
